Wash sweet potatoes and cut into ¾ â thick slices. Salt a large pot of water and bring to a boil. Cook sweet potatoes for 15 minutes. Drain. In a small pot bring water, honey, sugar and salt to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and stir for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat, add the last 3 ingredients and stir. Pour into a 9Ã13 baking pan or broiler tray. Place the slices of sweet potatoes in one layer in the pan, then turn so they are coated. Bake at 350 for 1 hour turning every 10 â 15 minutes.
